Fann Wong and Christopher Lee Wedding Put On Hold

With the news of Christopher Lee’s father passing away, the couple have decided to put their wedding on hold. According to chinese custom, couples must have the wedding within 100 days of the death of a close kin. Otherwise, the wedding can only happen 3 years later.

Rumours have been said that Fann and Christopher would be holding their wedding this year on a date that only happens once in a thousand years (i.e. 9th September 2009, or alternatively written as 09/09/09). The couple who are both 38, have been dating for almost eight years till date.

I’m sure most of us are eager to see the couple tying up the knot soon. Over the years, we’ve been hearing speculation of the Christopher Lee and Fann Wong dating. Rumours probably started after Mediacorp’s version of Return of the Condor Heroes was broadcast back in the year 2000. Back then Christopher Lee played the male lead Yang Guo, while Fann Wong played his “Little Aunty”.

Since then rumours has been spreading like wild fire. I remember seeing Christopher bringing Fann to see this Chinese Sinseh at Upper Paya Lebar. Even back then, they were already behaving like a couple. Over the recent years, their courtship was announced officially, and soon the rumours developed into Wedding Bells are to be rang soon.

In face there was so much hype that Zoe Tay even caught both Christopher and Fann by surprise during one of the recent Star Awards Ceremony. Zoe singlehandedly instigated the entire auditorium to cheer for Christopher, telling him to propose to Fann in public. This resulted in Fann Wong leaving her seat and running away to the back stage.

For me, I really think they’re a good match. If there’s any other couple that I’d like to see tie the knot, it would be Christopher Lee and Fann Wong. Considering that both are 38, its really high time to get married, especially if Fann intends to start a family.

Hopefully they’ll be a loving couple, just like Edmund Chen and Xiang Yun.
