Google phone is on its way to our shores and according to reports, Singapore would be the first in Asia to get the much awaited mobile phone. Good news for the techies!
According to today’s Straits Times, Google phone, also known as the HTC Dream, will be sold here by SingTel exclusively. Singapore will be the first in Asia to get the phone.
This link gives a detailed idea of what to expect of the so called next big thing in the mobile telephony industry. Below is a picture of the Google phone itself.

Seems like Singtel is looking to dominate the market again, after securing the exclusive rights to sell iPhone and now the up coming Google Phone. According to the report, SingTel’s iPhone deal was a major drawcard, and contributed significantly to its increase in postpaid customers in the third quarter of last year. SingTel brought in 45,000 new postpaid mobile customers – more than twice as many as its two rivals, which brought in about 21,000 customers in total.
Talk about encouraging competition in Singapore, seems like its still a monopoly.
