Salary Calculator

Have you ever wonder, are you over-paid, or under-paid? I’m sure there woud be a time when you compare your salary with your peers and then contemplate about your current job. Hence the next step is probably job hopping to another better paying company.

These days, with the economic recession, and now the H1N1 epidemic, many of us would think twice before moving on, especially if you’re in a very comfortable zone right now. Banking sectors who pays their staff lucrative monthly salaries are a thing of the past. Be glad that you didn’t get retrenched or a pay cut.

I came across this link in the JobsCentral Singapore website. Basically what it does is that it calculates the average salary one should earn based on the following criteria: Industry, Rank, Position.

Do note though, that the statistics are based on the figures from Ministry of Manpower released in 2007. Considering what has happened since 2007 to 2009, the information may not be very accurate. Nevertheless, I think its still something good to look at.
