Teacher and Teen Had Sex (Verdict)
The sexual saga between the female teacher and her teenage male student finally came to an end yesterday. District Judge Sarjit Singh passed the verdict that the female teacher was to be jailed for 10 months for having sex with an underage boy.
The woman could have been jailed up to 10 years and fined, but the judge said he took into account the fact that she had to give up her teaching career as a result of her actions. He also noted that she was the one who went to the police, confessing her mistake.
The 32 year old, married teacher who is a mother of two, is now the first woman in Singapore to be jailed for having sex with an underage boy.
